Our story
Born from a 25-year tradition
Almost 25 years ago, when Tiger Woods was a force of nature sweeping through every major championship, a simple tradition began. It was springtime in Ann Arbor — the Oberon was flowing, and a close-knit group of golf enthusiasts convened for a ritual as simple as it was enthralling.
Each participant would draft a team of golfers, their eyes set on glory. The stakes? Bragging rights, the occasional prize, and the thrill of the game. The goal? Amass the lowest cumulative score and emerge victorious as pool champion.
In its early days, this pool was a labor of love, meticulously managed by hand. Over time, it migrated to the digital realm — one janky incarnation after another. As often happens, the tides of time and the demands of life led to its hiatus. The leaderboard grew silent.
But some traditions refuse to stay in the attic. MajorsPool is back, revamped and ready for action, built so that anyone can run their own pool with the same energy and excitement that started it all.

MajorsPool is built by the team at BeerCraft — the same group that ran that original pool in Ann Arbor. We're a small crew of engineers and golf fans on the West Coast who got tired of managing pools through spreadsheets and group texts.
We built MajorsPool because we wanted the tool we wished existed: something simple enough to set up in a minute, but good enough to handle live scoring, real-time leaderboards, and the kind of friendly trash talk that makes tournament weekends worth it. No ads, no bloat — just the pool.
